If you\u2019ve found yourself stuck doomscrolling YouTube Shorts, there\u2019s now a way to turn off the feature entirely on mobile. The new option is rolling out to YouTube mobile users on both iOS and Android.<\/p>\n

The feature builds on YouTube mobile\u2019s existing time management feature, which allows users to set limits on their Shorts consumption. With the latest update, a new 0-minutes option has been added to the Shorts Feed limit timer.<\/p>\n

Previously, the minimum limit was capped at 15 minutes. The addition of the 0-minutes option effectively lets users disable Shorts entirely on mobile.<\/p>\n

You can access the Shorts Feed limit timer in the Time management section in the YouTube app\u2019s Settings. Once activated, tapping on the Shorts tab will display a \u2018time limit reached\u2019 message, preventing further access to the feed.<\/p>\n
