Le Cirque, <\/strong>one of Las Vegas\u2019 most acclaimed fine\u2011dining institutions and the final U.S. location of the storied family brand, will permanently close after dinner on August 23, MGM Resorts<\/strong> announced on April 14.<\/p>\n

The closure will end nearly 28 years of service for the French restaurant, which debuted along with the Bellagio<\/strong> in October 1998.<\/p>\n

Known for its intimate 40\u2011seat dining room, tented circus\u2011striped ceiling, and views of the famous fountains, Le Cirque earned some of the industry\u2019s highest honors during its Las Vegas run. They included a Michelin one\u2011star rating, a Forbes Five\u2011Star rating, and a AAA Five Diamond award.<\/p>\n

The Bellagio location became the flagship of the brand after the original New York Le Cirque \u2014 opened by hospitality legend Sirio Maccioni<\/strong> in 1974 \u2014 closed its final Manhattan home in 2017.<\/p>\n

For decades, the New York restaurant was considered one of America\u2019s most influential temples of French cuisine, attracting royalty, celebrities, and powerbrokers.<\/p>\n

MGM Resorts said the space will be transformed into a new culinary concept scheduled to open in mid\u20112027, though no details have been released.<\/p>\n

Chef Victor Villa<\/strong> handed Bad Bunny <\/strong>a piragua during the singer\u2019s 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, and now his restaurant, Villa\u2019s Tacos,<\/strong> is opening its first location outside California this summer at Durango Casino<\/strong>\u2019s Eat Your Heart Out<\/strong> food hall.<\/p>\n

Villa launched the brand in 2018 by grilling tacos in his grandmother\u2019s yard in L.A.\u2019s Highland Park before shifting to pandemic pickup orders. He earned a Bib Gourmand from the Michelin Guide<\/em><\/strong> in 2022.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s not quite<\/em> a Michelin star, but quite an accomplishment for a brand that didn\u2019t even have a storefront until a year later!<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom the beginning, Villa\u2019s Tacos has been rooted in family and tradition, with a deep respect for the ingredients and flavors that define our food,\u201d Villa said in an announcement. \u201cWe\u2019re proud to bring that same approach to Durango and share what makes Villa\u2019s Tacos special with a new community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Villa\u2019s \u2014 famous for blue corn tortillas and signature crispy Monterrey Jack cheese skirts \u2014
will replace chef Marc Vetri<\/strong>\u2019s Fiorella Pasta Bar,<\/strong> which shuttered in March.<\/p>\n

Dining Ins & Outs<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Grotto Ristorante <\/strong>at the Golden Nugget <\/strong>has closed and is currently being used for events, according to Vital Vegas.<\/em><\/p>\n

Qargo Coffee,<\/strong> a popular Florida brand now found in seven other states, has opened at 3900 Paradise Road \u2013 the same mini-mall housing the new Braseria by EDO.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
