In addition to work on the stage as a Shakespearean actor, Michael appeared in television series such as Blue\u00a0Lights<\/em>, This Town<\/em>, Blasts from the Past <\/em>and appeared in an episode for season six of Game of Thrones<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n He also co-wrote and appeared in the BBC series My Left Nut, <\/em>which was based on a one-man play he\u2019d written about his teenage years during which he worried he had testicular cancer.\u00a0<\/p>\n And much like that experience, following his diagnosis in 2023, Mickey channeled his feelings into a different one-man stage production, My Right Foot<\/em>\u2014the location where he first felt weakness as a result of his MND.<\/p>\n Calling it a \u201cspiritual successor to My Left Nut<\/em>,\u201d Michael wrote of the production<\/a> in May 2025, \u201cI should be performing it at @lyricbelfast in October… as long as I’m not dead by then!\u201d<\/p>\n Keeping it light, he warned, \u201cThat’s the type of joke you can expect if you come to see the play.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
