Alex Duong<\/strong> is being remembered after his untimely passing.<\/p>\n The comedian\u2014whose acting credits include Blue Bloods<\/em>, The Young and the Restless<\/em> and Everybody Hates Chris<\/em>\u2014died March 28 after a yearlong battle with a rare form of cancer, his friend Hilarie Steele<\/strong> confirmed in a post on GoFundMe. He was 42.<\/p>\n \u201cWith the heaviest hearts, we share that our dear Alex passed away peacefully this morning, surrounded by love and dear friends,\u201d Steele wrote in the post on the crowdfunding website. \u201cHe was comfortable and thankfully out of pain.\u201d<\/p>\n Steele also shared that despite the progression of Duong\u2019s illness, he was able to say goodbye to his 5-year-old daughter Everest<\/strong>\u2014whom he shared with wife Christina<\/strong>\u2014prior to his death, noting that he \u201ctreasured\u201d his little girl \u201cevery moment since the day she was born.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe are devastated,\u201d the message continued, \u201cbut so grateful for the support, prayers and generosity you have all shown during this unimaginable time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
