A virtual assistant is basically an administrative or executive assistant who works remotely.<\/p>\n Your job will involve scheduling meetings and travel arrangements, answering calls, taking meeting notes and other administrative tasks.<\/p>\n Communication and organizational skills will be incredibly important as a virtual assistant. You can also find plenty of VA opportunities through sites like\u00a0Time etc<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Upwork<\/a>.<\/p>\n Average pay:<\/strong>\u00a0$24.80 per hour, according to\u00a0Indeed<\/a>.<\/p>\n Why should a company pay for real estate to bring everyone into the same place where they take calls all day \u2014 when they can do that just as easily from home?<\/p>\n More companies are outsourcing their call center representative positions, or at least sending everyone remote, making a rewarding customer service position quite viable for someone who wants to work from home.<\/p>\n You\u2019ll take calls and complaints via phone, email, and chat \u2014 so communication and typing skills are helpful. As a WFH sales rep, you\u2019ll typically take or make calls trying to sell a product or service.<\/p>\n It\u2019s similar to a customer service position, but you\u2019ll need to actively convince a customer to buy. Although insurance and real estate sales roles typically require special licensing, retail sales are usually entry-level positions.<\/p>\n This type of online job is perfect in a remote environment because all you really need is a phone. These workers essentially turn audio into text \u2014 transcribing things like TV shows, speeches, interviews and podcasts.<\/p>\n The jobs can easily be done from home, and many companies like\u00a0Rev<\/a>,\u00a0Upwork<\/a>, and\u00a0Scribie<\/a>\u00a0hire transcriptionists all the time.<\/p>\n Average pay:<\/strong> $20 per hour, according to\u00a0Indeed<\/a>.<\/p>\n As a tutor you\u2019ll often need expertise in a certain area, and you\u2019ll need at least a high school degree. But it\u2019s also a job you can jump into fairly quickly as you help students of all ages build their education.<\/p>\n Tutors develop lesson plans and help students complete homework assignments and prepare for tests.\u00a0Care.com<\/a>\u00a0is a great place to start looking for tutoring jobs in your area.<\/p>\n Median pay:<\/strong>\u00a0$20.09 per hour, according to\u00a0BLS.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s another position perfect for someone with good typing skills.\u00a0Data entry clerks<\/a>\u00a0input information into databases, documents, spreadsheets and other files, while also checking for accuracy. They may also transcribe audio and video files into text.<\/p>\n As a data entry clerk, you\u2019ll need to have excellent attention to detail, stay organized and be efficient. Mock jurors meet live or online and help provide feedback to attorneys who are developing their cases.<\/p>\n Websites like\u00a0eJury<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Online Verdict<\/a>\u00a0allow you to sign up and fill out details about yourself. The companies will contact you when you\u2019re the right fit for a certain mock trial. Many companies select anywhere from 25 to 50 jurors per trial.<\/p>\n Average pay:<\/strong> $5 to $10 per case, according to\u00a0eJury.<\/p>\n If you love our furry little friends, why not take a go at being a\u00a0pet sitter<\/a>? Depending on the pet, you\u2019ll get to do everything from taking them on walks, going to the dog park and relaxing on the couch while they sleep.<\/p>\n The pay isn\u2019t amazing, but it\u2019s a relatively easy job and a great way to make extra cash. Check out\u00a0Rover\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0Wag!<\/a>\u00a0for many pet-sitting opportunities.<\/p>\n Average pay:<\/strong> Typically around $10 to $20 per walk, with more income coming from overnight stays, house sitting, and so on, according to Rover<\/a>\u00a0search results.<\/p>\n Large companies with customer service departments hire\u00a0mystery shoppers<\/a>\u00a0to evaluate their own services.<\/p>\n They\u2019ll give you an assignment to place a call, perhaps with a background story or problem, with some kind of goal in mind. When the call is finished, you\u2019ll file a report about your experiences and customer satisfaction, which ultimately is the feedback they are looking for.<\/p>\n This is a very flexible job that allows you to take on assignments as you have the time.\u00a0Sinclair Customer Metrics<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Market Force\u00a0<\/a>are great tools to find mystery shopping positions.<\/p>\n Average pay:<\/strong> $21 per hour, according to\u00a0ZipRecruiter<\/a>.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re online savvy and active on social media, you could become a brand ambassador for your favorite brand.<\/p>\n With this job, you\u2019ll chat online with visitors to the company\u2019s website, offer advice and recommendations, promote customer satisfaction, write product reviews and answer questions about products.<\/p>\n Sites\u00a0frequently update brands with available ambassador positions. You can also check on your favorite brand\u2019s website directly for opportunities to become an ambassador.\u00a0 Some brands may offer merchandise as a form of payment, or a combination of merchandise and cash.<\/p>\n Average pay:<\/strong> $20.14 per hour, according to\u00a0Indeed<\/a>.<\/p>\n Search engine evaluators<\/a>\u00a0examine internet search results to determine the accuracy of web search results, how useful the results pages are, and the relevance of the search results to the topic requested.
