Spoilers for <\/em>Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man ahead.<\/em><\/p>\n In the bleak midwinter, Tommy Shelby fought his last battle.<\/p>\n Though Cillian Murphy<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s iconic gangster walked into exile when Peaky Blinders<\/em> ended its run in 2022, the fate he\u2019d escaped for six seasons caught up with him in the 1940-set <\/a>Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man<\/a>, <\/em>as he is fatally shot while foiling a Nazi plot that would defeat Britain and end the war for Germany. And for the Oscar winner, Tommy\u2019s demise was inevitable as he candidly revealed if there was ever a scenario in which Tommy survived The Immortal Man<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201c<\/strong>I don’t think so,\u201d Cillian admitted to E! News in an exclusive interview<\/a>. \u201cI think that we all kind of felt like this would be the final chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n And that chapter, penned by show creator Steven Knight<\/strong>, saw Tommy\u2019s story come full circle\u2014with his eldest son Duke Shelby (Barry Keoghan<\/strong><\/a>) at the head of the Peaky Blinders.
