The fourth generation started shipping this week with the vanilla model, though the Pro is only now starting its pre-order phase.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/nothing_phone_(4a)_5g-14503.php\">Nothing Phone (4a)<\/a> closes the all-important camera gap with a 50MP 3.5x\/80mm telephoto module. The vanilla (4a) will not see a huge performance jump from the (3a) \u2013 yes, it uses faster storage, but UFS 3.1 isn\u2019t the fastest and the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 is only marginally better than the 7s Gen 3. This model also uses older LPDDR4X RAM.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/nothing_phone_(4a)_pro_5g-14529.php\">Nothing Phone (4a) Pro<\/a> has an aluminum frame, a first for the a-series. With this and the Glyph Matrix display on the back, it looks more like last year\u2019s Phone (3) flagship than an a-series model. This brings a more tangible upgrade to performance (especially in graphics). It helps that the chipset is connected to faster LPDDR5X RAM and a vapor chamber for cooling.<\/p>\n<p>There are a few <a href=\"compare.php3?idPhone1=14503&amp;idPhone2=14529#diff-\">other differences<\/a>, but the build and the chipset will be the key factors when deciding between the Nothing Phone (4a) and the (4a) Pro. The Glyph designs are quite different \u2013 the (4a) has a simple bar, while the (4a) Pro has a dot-matrix display \u2013 but we feel that only hardcore Nothing fans care about those.
