Talks between Sphere Entertainment and Nashville business leaders are underway about the possibility of building a Sphere branded venue in Tennessee, according to reporting from Axios<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n

The concept under discussion would not be a full\u2011scale replica of the 20,000\u2011seat Las Vegas Sphere twin. Instead, it would resemble the smaller, 6,000\u2011seat model that Sphere Entertainment has already committed to building at National Harbor in Maryland, just outside Washington, DC. That project \u2013 announced in January 2026<\/a> \u2014 will be the company\u2019s second U.S. location and the first to use the smaller\u2011scale design, supported by roughly $200 million in combined state, local, and private incentives.<\/p>\n
Sphere executives have not commented on the Nashville talks, consistent with their pattern of never discussing anything until they decide to announce it. But the New York-based company has repeatedly stated that its long\u2011term strategy is to create a global network of Spheres in \u201cforward\u2011looking cities,\u201d a phrase used by Executive Chairman and CEO James Dolan when announcing the Maryland project.<\/p>\n

Nashville has certainly exported a country mile\u2019s worth of its culture to the Strip in the past few years. Blake Shelton opened his sixth Ole Red in front of the Horseshoe in January 2024. Likewise, Jason Aldean opened his fourth Kitchen + Bar at CityCenter in December 2024, and Luke Combs is currently prepping the former Margaritaville at Flamingo to become his second Category 10 location.<\/p>\n

Beyond Maryland, Sphere Entertainment currently has one full\u2011size Sphere under construction in Abu Dhabi<\/a>, part of a previously announced international expansion. A separate full\u2011scale Sphere planned for London was canceled in 2024<\/a> due following political opposition from local officials.<\/p>\n
Discussions and a memorandum of understanding have also been reported regarding a potential Sphere in Incheon, South Korea, though no formal project has been announced.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
