Clay Gravesande and AD Smith:\u00a0Broke Up<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n While Clay expressed his\u00a0hesitation to getting married due to his own outlook on his\u00a0father\u2019s infidelity, AD reassured him that they would prevail as a couple and all seemed to be well between the two.\u00a0<\/p>\n But once\u00a0faced with the task of saying I do to forever at the altar, Clay said I don\u2019t<\/em> instead, telling AD that it wouldn\u2019t be \u201cresponsible\u201d of him to get married knowing he wasn\u2019t ready.<\/p>\n Cue the shock.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m going to put the work in for you,\u201d he\u00a0told\u00a0AD, \u201cand we\u2019ll go through this\u00a0together. I don\u2019t care what nobody\u00a0says;\u00a0I know fully I\u2019m not ready for marriage and you deserve the best. And if I\u2019m not ready to give you 100 percent, I won\u2019t go there with you when I\u2019m not ready\u2026I can\u2019t say yes right now.\u201d<\/p>\n It was a revelation that made AD declare through tears that the relationship was a waste of her \u201cf–king time.\u201d<\/p>\n As for Clay, he also revealed that financial\u2014and\u00a0emotional\u2014ties\u00a0played a big part in him walking away. \u201cI looked at myself in the mirror and said, \u2018Am I a husband?\u2019\u201d he admitted, \u201cand the answer was no. Am I deeply in\u00a0love? The answer was no.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n During the reunion, Clay expressed that he made a mistake and wanted to date AD, but she played coy on if she’d ever consider getting back together.<\/p>\n AD confessed that she did go on a couple dates with costar Matthew Duliba<\/strong> after filming wrapped, but they are not together.<\/p>\n
