Keion White <\/strong>is on the mend.<\/span><\/p>\n Hours after attending the <\/span>2026 Super Bowl<\/span><\/a>, the San Francisco 49ers defensive end was shot and taken to the hospital, according to his team.<\/span><\/p>\n “Keion White was a victim of a shooting and sustained a bullet wound to his ankle this morning in San Francisco,” the NFL team shared in a Feb. 9 <\/span>statement<\/span><\/a>. “He is currently undergoing surgery at a local hospital. We will provide further updates when appropriate.”<\/span><\/p>\n White was shot around 4 a.m. on Mission Street, according to the San Francisco Police Department. Though investigators determined that the shooting stemmed from an argument, they do not believe White, 27, was part of the disagreement.<\/span><\/p>\n “A preliminary investigation revealed a verbal altercation occurred between two groups inside a business,” authorities told <\/span>CBS Sports<\/span><\/a>. “The victim was injured when shots were fired by an unknown suspect.”<\/span><\/p>\n The police department\u2019s spokesman <\/span>Evan Semoffsky<\/strong> also told <\/span>The New York Times<\/span><\/em><\/a>, \u201cOur officers are working diligently on this investigation and we\u2019re following multiple leads.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
