Queen B is getting her own Gossip Girl<\/em><\/a> book.<\/p>\n Cecily von Ziegesar<\/strong>\u2014the author behind the YA novel series that was adapted into not one, but two TV shows\u2014is writing a standalone sequel centered around fan-favorite character Blair Waldorf, according to Deadline<\/a>.<\/p>\n Titled Blair<\/em>, the book will follow the Constance Billard School for Girls alum as she navigates life 20 years after her private school exploits.<\/p>\n The novel is tentatively set to be published in Summer 2027.<\/p>\n But Blair in the books is somewhat different from the New York City socialite portrayed by Leighton Meester<\/a> <\/strong>in the original\u00a0Gossip Girl<\/em> show, which ran for six season from 2007 to 2012. While Leighton’s character ends up with Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick<\/strong>) onscreen, book Blair is largely in a romantic relationship with Nate Archibald<\/strong>, the man made famous by Chace Crawford<\/strong>.<\/p>\n So, will Leighton ever reprise her TV role?<\/p>\n “They’re doing a whole new thing,” she told Fox 5 New York<\/a> in 2022, after the original Gossip Girl<\/em> was rebooted with an all-new cast. “I feel really good sort of sitting back and leaving it to the kids\u2014to the young, new generation.”<\/p>\n Still, the 39-year-old noted, “Never say never.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
