Brooks emphasized spontaneity \u2014 no setlists, no rules \u2014 creating a different show every performance.<\/p>\n<p>The residency filled 99% of all available seats, making it the most commercially successful country residency in Las Vegas history. However, we\u2019re giving the edge to her because $137.7 million in 2014 dollars is equivalent to $190.2 million in 2024 dollars.<\/p>\n<p>Well-received by critics and fans, \u201cPiece of Me\u201d created a successful comeback for the troubled \u201cToxic\u201d singer. (Image: MGM Resorts)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><strong>8. \u201cBruno Mars at Park MGM\u201d (2016-present)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Gross: $158 million<br \/>Tickets Sold: 479K-490K<br \/>Shows: 110<br \/>Gross Per Show: $1.58M<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The energetic \u201cUptown Funk\u201d singer proved his broad appeal by delivering tightly arranged funk, soul, R&amp;B and pop without heavy production gimmicks. Critics consistently praised Mars\u2019 energy, musicianship and no\u2011phones policy, which creates an unusually immersive, distraction\u2011free environment for concert enjoyment.<\/p>\n<p>We based our figures on <em>Billboard<\/em> \u201cBoxscore\u201d\u2019s May 2025 gross report of $154.8 million plus for the just-wrapped residency, plus the two sold-out New Year\u2019s Eve shows he will have played this week.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_372019\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-372019\" data-style=\"width: 430px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-post-thumbnail-430xAUTO wp-image-372019\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/elton-red-piano-430x647.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"430\" height=\"647\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/elton-red-piano-430x647.jpg 430w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/elton-red-piano.jpg 738w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 430px) 100vw, 430px\"\/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-372019\" class=\"text-description\">Elton John dazzles on his Red Piano in June 2008. Elton John, \u201cThe Red Piano,\u201d Caesars Palace (2004-2009)<br \/><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Gross: $166.4M<\/strong><br \/><strong>Tickets Sold: 982K<\/strong><br \/><strong>Shows: 247<\/strong><br \/><strong>Gross Per Show: $674K<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Directed and designed by David La Chapelle, this residency delivered the classics, deep cuts, and plenty of banter, reminding audiences why Elton\u2019s catalog is built for the big stage. It was his second Caesars residency, following 2011-2018\u2019s \u201cMillion Dollar Piano,\u201d which grossed $131 million.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>6. \u201cEagles: Sphere Las Vegas\u201d (2024-present)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Gross: ~$193.2 million<br \/>Tickets Sold: ~700K-~810K<br \/>Shows: 44 shows<br \/>Gross Per Show: ~$4.4 million<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Eagles\u2019 five\u2011decade catalog pairs surprisingly well with the Sphere\u2019s next\u2011generation technology, which reframes classic hits like \u201cHotel California,\u201d \u201cTake it Easy\u201d and \u201cLife in the Fast Lane\u201d with towering wraparound visuals.<\/p>\n<p>We had to Frankenstein the total gross from two separate lists. <em>Billboard<\/em>\u2019s \u201cBoxscore\u201d reported $42.2 million from 131,000 tickets sold for the Eagles\u2019 16 2024 concerts, and concert-tracker website <em>Pollstar<\/em> added the $151 million total for the band\u2019s 28 Sphere shows in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The Eagles\u2019 ongoing Sphere performances have already defeated each of Elton John\u2019s two ranking Caesars Palace stints as Las Vegas\u2019 most successful classic rock residency of all time. Dead &amp; Company, \u201cDead Forever: Live at Sphere (2024-2025)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Gross: ~$210.3 million<br \/>Tickets Sold: ~760K-770K<br \/>Shows 48<br \/>Gross Per Show: ~4.4 million<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We also speculated to arrive at this ranking, since only data from Bob Weir and friends\u2019 30 2024 Sphere shows was available as of this writing. But the outfit added to that $131.45 million total with 18 more 2025 shows from March to May. Assuming its $4.381 million per-show average, the 18 2025 shows added another $78.86 million to the tally.<\/p>\n<p>After all that, however, we still can\u2019t be sure whether the Dead placed fourth or fifth because of \u201cthe Adele problem.\u201d (More on that in the next slot!)<\/p>\n<p>Critics praised the Dead &amp; Company\u2019s immersive design, John Mayer\u2019s creative direction, and the fusion of improvisational jams with expansive, narrative\u2011driven visuals that reframed the Grateful Dead\u2019s 60\u2011year legacy for new generations.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_372018\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-372018\" data-style=\"width: 430px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-post-thumbnail-430xAUTO wp-image-372018\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/adele-x-adele-430x442.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"430\" height=\"442\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/adele-x-adele-430x442.jpg 430w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/adele-x-adele.jpg 712w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 430px) 100vw, 430px\"\/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-372018\" class=\"text-description\">Adele on stage during her Caesars Palace residency. (Image: X\/@adele)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><strong>4 or 5. \u201cWeekends With Adele,\u201d Caesars Palace (2022-2024)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Gross: ~$175-$220 million<br \/>Tickets Sold: ~420K<br \/>Shows: 100<br \/>Gross Per Show: ~$1.75M-$2.2M<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ascribing dollar figures to Las Vegas residencies can be difficult and controversial since that information must be shared by either the venues, concert promoters and\/or by the artists themselves.<\/p>\n<p>For whatever reason, Caesars Entertainment and Adele\u2019s team only chose to publish the gross ($52.8 million) from the first 24 \u201cWeekends With Adele\u201d shows. Extrapolating the per-show gross to the full 100-show run at $2.2 million per show gives a figure of $220 million.<\/p>\n<p>However, British outlets <em>the Mirror <\/em>and <em>Daily Mail<\/em> consistently cited an average gross of $1.75 million per show for the residency\u2019s duration, which explains our low ballpark estimate. And there\u2019s no way of knowing which, if either, is accurate.<\/p>\n<p>Adele did so well by tapping into massive demand for the only 4,200 seats available per show. As\u00a0<em>Billboard<\/em>\u00a0reported, tickets\u00a0for\u00a0the first concerts started at $860 apiece for the front section of the Colosseum and $600 for the front of the upper balcony. A few dozen seats in the front three rows of the orchestra section were priced at more than $5K per ticket as part of Ticketmaster\u2019s platinum seating program.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_372020\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-372020\" data-style=\"width: 858px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-post-thumbnail-858xAUTO wp-image-372020\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/u2-at-sphere-getty-858x871.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"858\" height=\"871\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/u2-at-sphere-getty-858x871.jpg 858w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/u2-at-sphere-getty-430x437.jpg 430w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/u2-at-sphere-getty-87x87.jpg 87w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/u2-at-sphere-getty.jpg 1158w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 858px) 100vw, 858px\"\/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-372020\" class=\"text-description\">The Edge and Bono christened the Sphere in September 2023. (That\u2019s $277,272 per song!) But the most record-breaking part of the Irish superstars\u2019 residency was their astronomical take-home pay.
