Black Friday is almost over and you can feel it – most tablets are out of stock! However, there are still good options left and there are plenty of other gadgets that you can pick up. Note that we have smartphone deals<\/a> in a separate post. Here we will focus on the best tablet, laptop, smartwatch and other offers in Germany.<\/p>\n

Here are some shortcuts to jump straight to the section you care about:<\/p>\n

Tablets<\/b><\/p>\n

Samsung didn\u2019t release a Plus model for the 2025 generation, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ is still a viable option with its Dimensity 9300+ chipset. It has a larger 12.4\u201d display but is otherwise more of the same.<\/p>\n

The Redmi Pad 2 is another 11\u201d slate, this one with a 90Hz IPS LCD. It uses the Helio G100 Ultra chipset.<\/p>\n

Laptops<\/b><\/p>\n

The Microsoft Surface Pro is a Windows tablet powered by Qualcomm\u2019s ARM chipset. It comes in several varieties with different LCD and OLED displays and different chips \u2013 Snapdragon X Plus or X Elite. Note that the cheaper 13\u201d LCD variant with the Snapdragon X Plus includes a free keyboard (that\u2019s a separate purchase for the pricier OLED\/X Elite model).<\/p>\n

Or you can get an actual laptop \u2013 the Microsoft Surface Laptop. This one also has several screen options (LCD or OLED, from 13\u201d to 15\u201d in size) and a choice between Snapdragon X Plus and X Elite chipsets.<\/p>\n

The Asus Zenbook A14 has a 14\u201d 16:10 OLED display (1,920 x 1,200px) and promises up to 32-hour battery life with its Snapdragon X Plus chipset \u2013 not bad for a sub-1kg laptop that measures 13.4-15.9mm thick. The 70Wh battery supports fast charging over USB-C (60% in 49 minutes).<\/p>\n

Smart rings<\/b><\/p>\n

You can pair \u2013 or even replace to some extent \u2013 a smartwatch with a smart ring. The Samsung Galaxy Ring works with the Samsung Health app and does not require a subscription. The Ultrahuman Ring Air has almost complete functionality built into the app as well (though a subscription offers some extra features). The functionality of the Oura Ring 4 is pretty limited without a subscription, though.<\/p>\n

Amazon Fire tablets<\/b><\/p>\n

Amazon offers Kids versions of their Fire tablets. They disable ads and are built for young users \u2013 by that we mean that they ship with a sturdy case and have a 2-year worry-free<\/a> warranty. They also come with a 1-year subscription to Amazon Kids+ \u2013 an all-you-can-eat service with free, curated content for kids (including Marvel TV shows).<\/p>\n

You can install the Parent Dashboard app on your phone and set time limits and educational goals. You can enable or disable certain apps like YouTube and Spotify. A quick note about the Pro models: these come with a different set of permission defaults. For example, a Pro tablet can access the whole internet (with content filters in place), while the regular models can only open select sites. Of course, this is all subject to change via the parental control app.<\/p>\n

E-readers<\/b><\/p>\n

While you can read books on an LCD tablet, your eyes will thank you for going with an e-reader instead. Amazon has a wide variety, ranging from small and cheap to larger, more premium models.<\/p>\n

The Amazon Kindle Colorsoft has an e-ink display capable of displaying colors. This is great for graphic novels or for viewing more complicated documents. It can be used in Black & White mode too (which increases the screen\u2019s PPI).<\/p>\n

The Amazon Kindle Scribe is large enough to read PDFs comfortably and comes with an included stylus. It is intended for work and creativity more so than reading books (though you can do that too). Note that there is a Colorsoft variant coming soon, but it didn\u2019t launch in time for Black Friday.<\/p>\n
