States with contested AI laws would also reportedly be threatened with the loss of federal broadband funding.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, Reuters reports that <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/white-house-pauses-executive-order-that-would-seek-preempt-state-laws-ai-sources-2025-11-21\/\">the executive order has been put on hold<\/a>.
