In a statement, Google said the deal \u201cpreserves the value of [its] service for [its] subscribers and future flexibility in [its] offers.\u201d Subscribers will be able to start watching Disney channels as they return over the course of the day, as well as access any content in their library. \u201cWe apologize for the disruption and appreciate our subscribers\u2019 patience as we negotiated on their behalf,\u201d YouTube wrote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0 charcoal-color\">The new deal \u201crecognizes the tremendous value of Disney\u2019s programming and provides YouTube TV subscribers with more flexibility and choice,\u201d Disney Entertainment co-chairpersons Alan Bergman and Dana Walden, as well as ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro said in a <a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/business\/business-news\/disney-youtube-tv-deal-espn-abc-return-streaming-service-1236425470\/\" data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:statement;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\">statement<\/a>. \u201cWe are pleased that our networks have been restored in time for fans to enjoy the many great programming options this weekend, including <a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/entertainment\/streaming\/the-youtube-tv-disney-blackout-continues-how-to-watch-ncaa-football-this-weekend-173330533.html\" data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" data-ylk=\"slk:college football,;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\">college football,<\/a>\u201d they added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0 charcoal-color\">Disney pulled its channels from YouTube\u2019s subscription service on October 31 after the companies failed to reach a deal for the renewal of their partnership. Google said at the time that Disney \u201cused the threat of a blackout on YouTube TV as a negotiating tactic to force deal terms that would raise prices on [its] customers.\u201d Meanwhile, Disney accused Google of \u201crefusing to pay fair rates for [its] channels\u201d and using its dominance in the market to \u201celiminate competition and undercut the industry-standard terms\u201d that its other partners had agreed to.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0 charcoal-color\">According to <a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/business\/business-news\/disney-youtube-tv-deal-espn-abc-return-streaming-service-1236425470\/\" data-i13n=\"cpos:4;pos:1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:The Hollywood Reporter;cpos:4;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\"><em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a>, YouTube TV subscribers will get access to select live and library programming from ESPN Unlimited at no extra cost under the terms of the new agreement. Google will also be able to offer Disney+ and Hulu bundles to YouTube TV customers and will be able to offer genre-based channel packages. Google has sent out emails to YouTube TV subscribers, notifying them about the return of Disney channels.
