If you watched all the way to the end of the new Apple TV show \u201cPluribus,\u201d you may have noticed an unusual disclaimer<\/a> in the credits: \u201cThis show was made by humans.\u201d<\/p>\n That terse message \u2014\u00a0 placed right below a note that \u201canimal wranglers were on set to ensure animal safety\u201d \u2014 could potentially provide a model for other filmmakers seeking to highlight that their work was made without the use of generative AI.<\/p>\n And just in case the disclaimer wasn\u2019t clear enough, creator Vince Gilligan (best known for \u201cBreaking Bad\u201d) was even more emphatic in a Variety feature story about the show<\/a>, declaring flatly, \u201cI hate AI.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n He went on to describe the technology as \u201cthe world\u2019s most expensive and energy-intensive plagiarism machine\u201d and compared AI-generated content to \u201ca cow chewing its cud \u2014 an endlessly regurgitated loop of nonsense.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThank you, Silicon Valley!\u201d he added. \u201cYet again, you\u2019ve f\u2014ed up the world.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cPluribus\u201d is the former \u201cX-Files\u201d writer\u2019s return to science fiction, and it reunites him with his \u201cBetter Call Saul\u201d star Rhea Seehorn, who plays a romantasy author confronting an alien invasion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
