“I was like, ‘I\u2019m Heidi. I\u2019m going to do a Heidi-themed dirndl-type thing in patent leather,'” she explained to host Jimmy Fallon<\/strong>. “But I had to do my own hair and makeup. I didn\u2019t know anyone at the time who does special effects makeup.”\u00a0<\/p>\n As a result, she acknowledged, “This is boring.”\u00a0<\/p>\n But she definitely didn’t phone it in last year<\/a> when she and\u00a0Tokio Hotel<\/strong> guitarist husband\u00a0Tom Kaulitz<\/strong><\/a> turned up dressed as the titular character from the 1982 classic E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial<\/em>.<\/p>\n “I loved being E.T. so much,” said Klum, though, she admitted, “It was so<\/em> heavy holding that head on my head because it goes from the back to the front. I thought my neck was going to snap off.”\u00a0<\/p>\n And heavy is the head that holds the queen of Halloween crown<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n “There goes a lot into it because I wanted to be so spectacular that this is not something I can just throw together overnight,” she explained to People<\/em><\/a> of the intensive process. “It takes a long time.
