Air France is welcoming its travelers to Las Vegas after announcing direct service between Paris and Southern Nevada.<\/p>\n

(Image: Shutterstock)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n On Wednesday, Air France confirmed direct flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and Harry Reid International Airport. The nonstop service will begin on April 15, 2026.<\/p>\n
Air France will offer direct service between the two cities three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.<\/p>\n
\nFlights will depart Paris at 1:40 pm local time and arrive at Harry Reid International Airport<\/a> around 3:35 pm PST. Flights will depart Las Vegas at 5:50 pm and arrive the following day in Paris at 1:05 pm. All of the flights will be aboard Airbus A350-900 aircraft. Under Air France\u2019s two A350-900 seating arrangements, the planes can carry 292 or 324 passengers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Las Vegas will become Air France\u2019s 19th destination in the United States. Air France says the direct Paris to Las Vegas service is initially planned to run through October 2026.<\/p>\n
Paris Las Vegas, a Caesars Entertainment property on the Las Vegas Strip, includes a half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower. The French-themed resort additionally has landmark replicas of the Arc de Triomphe and Paris Opera House.<\/p>\n
Local Officials Welcome Air France<\/strong><\/h2>\n
According to statistics from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and Harry Reid International, visitation to the \u201cEntertainment Capital of the World\u201d remains suppressed. Though many casino executives say media reports that the local economy is struggling are overblown, the tourism data<\/a> shows there are at least fewer visitors.<\/p>\n
Through August, the LVCVA reports that Las Vegas visitor volume is down almost 8%, a net difference of about 2.18 million guests. At LAS, total arriving and departing air travelers, also through August, tallied 37 million passengers. That\u2019s down 4.5% year-over-year, or 1.76 million fewer ticketed passengers.<\/p>\n
Domestic travel is weighing heavily, down 4.8% from the same eight months in 2024. But international is also lower by 2%.<\/p>\n

James Chrisley, Clark County\u2019s director of aviation, called the Air France service a \u201cgame changer.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt opens an exciting new gateway to the European market,\u201d Chrisley said.<\/p>\n
Do Parisians Gamble?<\/strong><\/h2>\n
The LVCVA estimates that France accounted for only about 86,400 tourists last year. That marked a 12.5% gain from 2023, but remained significantly lower than the estimated 99,600 French who visited Las Vegas in pre-pandemic 2019.<\/p>\n
\nThe French, of course, fancy a bet. The country has a rich history with gambling, and is home to many historic gambling houses, including Casino Barri\u00e8re Deauville. And though not actually in France, the Monte Carlo in neighboring Monaco on the French Riviera is often associated with France.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
