The incident occurred about two miles from a fulfillment center run by the tech company and involved two of its Prime Air drones. No injuries have been reported. Law enforcement were called to the scene, however Sgt. Erik Mendez of the Tolleson police told local radio station <a data-i13n=\"elm:context_link;elmt:doNotAffiliate;cpos:2;pos:1\" class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/ktar.com\/arizona-technology-news\/amazon-delivery-drone\/5756884\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:KTAR;elm:context_link;elmt:doNotAffiliate;cpos:2;pos:1;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\"><em><\/em><\/a> that the Federal Aviation Administration would be taking over the investigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0 engadget-charcoal\">&#8220;We&#8217;re aware of an incident involving two Prime Air drones in Tolleson, Arizona,&#8221; Amazon representative Terrence Clark said. &#8220;We&#8217;re currently working with the relevant authorities to investigate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0 engadget-charcoal\">Amazon <a data-i13n=\"elm:context_link;elmt:doNotAffiliate;cpos:3;pos:1\" class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/transportation\/amazon-begins-drone-delivers-to-phoenix-provided-the-weather-is-favorable-162241367.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:began;elm:context_link;elmt:doNotAffiliate;cpos:3;pos:1;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\"><\/a> offering a drone delivery option in the Phoenix area last year.
